MARRIED: A Heartfelt Joining of Families on the Roof of Mango Mangeaux
Tamara and Michael were married on the rooftop of Mango Mangeaux on a fortunately fair-weathered Sunday afternoon. We had the absolute pleasure of spending a few hours with them and making some photographs of their sweet and special union. We have shared some of our favorite images from their elegant and family-oriented gathering below!
In a beautiful apartment space above the Hampton, we were greeted with a warm buzzing of family members getting ready for the day’s festivities. Everyone was checking around, helping one another with their finishing touches. Little ones sprinted around and spun in their beautiful blush dresses, boutonnieres were pinned, and the party lined up to head across the street for the intimate ceremony.
A small group of guests gathered on the rooftop of Mango Mangeaux while the bridal party stirred behind a beautiful ivy-covered wall. The weather, which had been quietly threatening a raindrop or two, was generous enough to hold off. Though the formalities were short in duration, it was clear that Tamara and Michael did not need anything elaborate; this was but a beautiful formality in the joining of a family that already existed with a strong and loving bond.
After a brief recess for family and couple portraits, Tamara and Michael crossed the street once more, this time as husband and wife. They joined a bustling celebration of close family and friends in a rosey-lit ballroom in the Hampton.
We spent the rest of our time among thoughtful details, tearful toasts, and even more spinning and dancing. As we left, we grabbed a beautiful cupcake each and headed out onto the quiet street, with the sounds of the party carrying on behind us.
