About Whitney & Casey
We grew up in rural Virginia with a rowdy extended family, a labyrinth of trees and creeks for adventuring, and stacks of family photo albums. We both went through the photography & film program at VCU, and then Casey pursued her Masters in Architecture from Clemson. Nowadays, Whitney works full time as a gallery director in Richmond, and Casey balances work in Atlanta between an architecture firm and professional cheerleading. Those days jobs are pretty descriptive of our personalities and roles on the wedding day: Whitney is happiest grabbing candids and artful details, while Casey excels at gathering family members and guiding couples through the mysteries of portrait posing.
We thrive in the balance between formal and familial. Our photographs are primarily documents, bearing witness to the chaotic, tender, and bizarre, and we reserve gentle intervention for intentional moments. We aim to make you feel supported and seen from consultation to delivery, and we hope to feel like an extension of your family and friends on the day of the wedding. Some of our favorite feedback (in addition to that of the photos) has come from people who were pleasantly surprised at how seamlessly we fit in and how comfortable they felt having us around during the wedding day.

How would you describe your photography style?
In regard to our file handling, we deliver images that feel true to life in color and prioritize a cohesive feeling across digital and film images. Our main concerns are color correction and some light spot removal for dust and noise. As for how we physically work with clients, we balance documentary / candid work with some light direction. We don’t reenact genuine moments for the shot, and we prefer natural light during the day. We typically blend ambient light and on-camera flash for night shooting.
Do you shoot video?
Yes and no — we shoot Super 8, which feels most aligned with our love for the unposed, uncut, nostalgic feelings that we get on the wedding day. This type of filming does not include sound, so it’s almost like a reel of moving image. We do not do high production video, as it’s just not really our style.
How much do your services cost?
Our services start around $3500, however, our clients are more frequently putting $6-8k towards our services.
What do your packages typically include?
We include a 90 minute engagement session with most of our wedding coverage, as well as a final gallery of high resolution files that clients can download. We do not limit the number of final images that our clients receive, because we do not believe that one size fits all for wedding days. Most likely, you will receive anywhere from 75-100 images per hour of coverage.
