We’re not too attached to the traditions, trends, and “musts” of the wedding industry. We’re drawn to artistic, thoughtful details that add significance and individuality to genuine celebrations. We believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to your important milestones, and love working with couples who are true to themselves.

Our basic photography coverage includes:
Quality time and guidance during the consultation and the months leading up to your wedding.
We take a lot of time to work with you and your wedding coordinator to make sure you’re getting the most out of your wedding coverage. We send very aesthetically pleasing PDFs (Whitney can’t help herself) and will even keep a rolling group text with you, if you’re into that. We want you to feel informed, prepared, and excited for your wedding day.
Hybrid (digital + film) coverage by both Whitney and Casey for the duration of the day.
We usually arrive with several cameras in hand - we’ve got our trusty digital cameras, along with medium format and 35mm film, as well as some extra fun cameras for reception time. We love to find new ways to use photography to tell stories, so there’s likely something up our sleeve (or on our shoulder, or in our bag) to accomplish that.
Having both of us there on the day of your wedding means there’s more opportunity for double the perspective, more time for guest candids and posed photos, styled detail shots, and funky photography nerd experiments.
Whitney loves to focus on details and candids, while Casey is the Queen of kindly and efficiently directing posed shots. Whitney provides oodles of empathy and comic relief, while Casey can fix your dress in a pinch. We will both be dancing while photographing your reception.
We like to fit in, and aren’t too concerned with staged moments.
Our favorite compliments (aside from those about our photographs) are those from clients who said we felt like family/friends because we fit right in. We want to feel like we go with the natural flow of the day, feeding off the existing energy and capturing you as genuinely as we can, instead of forcing moments and interrupting what’s actually happening. When it comes time to do more posed shots, we continue to work with your energy and connection, guiding you while prioritizing comfort and ease.
A 90-Minute Engagement Session
The engagement session gives you something to share with your loved ones to announce your special day, and allows us an opportunity to get comfortable working together before that day comes.
Basic Travel + Lodging
Our packages cover up to 200 miles of ground travel from Central Virginia to cover getting us to your session and wedding day venues, and one night of basic lodging for us to stay safely nearby your venue after a long wedding day. We can always account for additional travel and lodging, depending on your wedding location and coverage length.
(So Many) Photos
We do not limit the images clients receive; each client is different and we don't believe in one-size-fits-all. Our galleries tend to average about 100-150 photos/hour for more standard wedding days, and something like 75-100 for more low-key celebrations. Because you receive so many professionally culled and color-corrected photos, we have an 8-week turnaround for delivery of final images. Once they’re ready, you receive a link to an online gallery of both web-resolution and high-resolution images. From there, you can order fine art prints, hand-bound books, or framed works directly from our print studio. You may also download any images for personal use.
Looking for numbers? We tailor packages to suit each client’s needs, but a “standard” package including 8 hours of digital + film coverage by two photographers, a 90 minute engagement session, basic travel + lodging, a gallery of high res (most likely 800+) photos would come to about $6750.
