our ten(ish) favorite images from a belated wedding gathering at Kiln Creek
Lexi and Ben’s wedding happened a couple months behind the original schedule, as concerns for COVID-19 brought them to reevaluate their original larger gathering in June. That didn’t stop them from having a fun, loving celebration with sweet details and all of the dancing. Today we’re sharing our top ten moments from their sunny August celebration.
1. DAD’S FIRST LOOK
We love this sweet reaction moment as Lexi’s dad turns around to see her for the first time on the wedding day.
2. NOT-SO-SUBTLE SNOOPS
As Lexi was on her way to meet Ben for their first look, her bridal party “slyly” tagged along from after. Their lack of subtlety paid off in their reactions.
3. RING DETAILS
When we were told “the rings are in my pocket,” we definitely weren’t expecting this presentation! These ring boxes were too lovely not snag a shot.
4. BEAUTY/GRACE
While taking a lovely spin, the wind had other plan’s for Lexi, but she rolled with it. Nailed it.
5. SUNNY CEREMONY
The sunny August heat threatened to melt us all, but Lexi and Ben kept the formalities short and sweet. Casey got this wide shot of the wedding party applauding the first kiss, lattice shadows and all.
6&7. LEXI
We have so many photos of Lexi that we love, but here are two that stick out as favorites. Look at the range in lighting between the two as well!
8. CAKE/FACE
Not much description need – we can’t help that we enjoy a good slice of cake to the face.
9. SHOTS
We’re certainly suckers for both a moody lighting moment and a cheers, so the afternoon light pouring into this little bar was an instant favorite.
10. SPARKLER QUEEN
We got so many sparkler exit photos that we are probably going to give them their own shoutout, but this sweet smiling portrait of Lexi was the perfect way to close out the night.
